There is no pre-existing cultural archetype that makes a Black woman MD/PhD founder building emergency obstetrical infrastructure readable to funders, partners, and the field, so people improvise unflattering categories. Radical transparency is the answer — the construction of a belief system, rendered explicit, in public, with full accountability for every claim. Not managed vulnerability for relatability, but a prospective operating framework: an asset that cannot be described cannot be valued, and you cannot fund what you cannot understand.
