You're in. Whether you signed up free, you're a paying member, or you came here from a link a friend sent you — welcome. The Labora Collective is the medical community of Diosa Ara — physician-led, built around clinical reality, structural analysis, and the people the field tends to fail. Publishing is how it speaks to the outside world; it is not the whole of what it is.
Here's the short version of what's here and how to use it.
What this is
The Labora Collective is the medical community of Diosa Ara — the members-supported side of it gathers here, does medical education, and, as Diosa Ara's clinical practice grows, becomes the community's home for that too. Publishing exists because the field has no shared, trusted information infrastructure — government data lands two to three years late, peer-reviewed research is paywalled, policy decisions hide in budget bills, and the operators on the ground (clinicians, doulas, advocates, patients) are working with broken tools.
We're building the layer that's missing — independent, clinically rigorous, accountable to the people it serves rather than to advertisers, sponsors, or institutions.
Not a medical practice. Not a wellness lifestyle publication. Not medical advice for your specific case. For personal medical questions, talk to your own provider. For emergencies, call 911 / your local emergency number.
Three publications, one body of work
The Labora Collective publishes three journals. Members get full access to all three.
Empowered Care, Informed Choices. Clinical analysis, evidence-based guidance, and practical tools for navigating healthcare during crisis.
Exposing the Cost of Control. Investigative reporting on the policies, institutions, and structures that determine who receives care.
Entrepreneurship + Innovation. Medical-device development, healthcare technology, and the business models women's health actually needs.
What to read first
Start with whichever path matches what brought you here:
You're trying to understand a clinical situation
Begin with a Playbook — a sequenced pathway for a specific situation (recurrent vaginitis in pregnancy, hyperemesis, preeclampsia, endometrial biopsy). It tells you what matters, what's noise, and what to ask for.
Browse the journals →You're supporting patients under structural constraints
Begin with a Pack (a higher-level bundle of related playbooks) and the operating-intelligence briefings on what has shifted in policy and how it affects care.
See Packs & journals →You're tracking the structural argument
Begin with the Signal and our flagship structural pieces. The argument compresses: the crisis was manufactured, the response is being built, and the choice of which response wins is being made now.
Read the newsletter → Intelligence briefings →How membership works

How we ask you to engage
- Read with us. The work is built for use, not browsing — use a Pack or Playbook when you have a real decision in front of you.
- Reply. The early years of this work were shaped by reader replies. Tell us what's missing, what you wish we'd cover, what landed.
- Share carefully. If a piece serves someone you know, forward it.
- Respect the boundaries. See our community guidelines and FAQ for what we ask of every member.
