The Labora Collective is a physician-led women's health community that lives on your phone. Here is everything it does, in one place.
Every part of the community, as members see it on their phones.
When Dr. Connor sends the community a message, it arrives like any app’s.
Everything new in one place: essays, explainers and posts from the room.
Every piece, journal and playbook, shelved so you can find it again.
Research findings, written for your role: OB, midwife, doula or leader.
Watch live, ask a question on air, keep the recording and the handouts.
A map of women’s health that fills in as you read.
Your focus, what you’ve saved, and how we reach you.
Some members need to talk without anyone else listening, whether that is a partner, an employer, a government or a company. So group chat is built to keep conversations private, including from us.
What this does not hide. We can see who is in which group and when messages are sent, though not what they say. And until members can compare keys with each other in person, a feature we are building, you are trusting that our site hands out the right keys.
Not yet an app. Labora runs from our website, even when it sits on your Home Screen. That means the code that locks and unlocks your messages comes from our site each time you open it. If a government forced us to, or someone broke into our systems, that code could be changed to take your keys. This is a risk from the state or a serious attacker, not from a partner at home. Our app store version is the last step that closes this gap, and we will tell you when it is closed.
Turn it on in You, then Settings.
We chose safety over convenience: if you lose your phone and your recovery code, your message history cannot be recovered, by you or by us.
Labora installs from the website, keeps you signed in and sends alerts when we post or go live. An app store version for Android is coming soon. See how to set it up.
