Not a tragedy. Manufactured.
This project documents what the Trump administration has done to women's health in the United States since January 2025 — and provides the receipts. Every claim ties to a specific dated executive action, statutory provision, court ruling, or federal layoff. Every consequence ties to clinical evidence.
It originated as a 30-minute Substack Live on May 6, 2026: "Navigating The Republican Manufactured Healthcare Crisis." The live laid out a 9-point map of administrative actions, walked viewers through what those actions look like in clinical practice, gave a five-bucket navigation playbook, and closed with the single most damning data point in the entire research corpus — California maternal mortality at 4.0 per 100,000 versus Louisiana at 58.1. Same country. Same biology. Different policy.
The mechanism has a name now — administrative illiberalism. Bureaucratic strangulation through HHS, CMS, and CDC restructuring rather than legislative debate. They are not coming through the front door of Congress. They are coming through the back door of agency rulemaking. And the back door is wide open.
This page collects the public-facing assets from that work: the intelligence brief for media partners, the social pull-quote cards, the producer/editor briefing deck, the resource sheet for live viewers, and the long-form research synthesis that anchors every claim. Each is built to be shared.
